You will also have your own individual page where you can post your environmental footprint and other ideas as we go along.
| Final Reflection (December) - Thinking back over the past semester, what impact has this project on Global Warming had on you? What have you learned about yourself, your environment, your world? |

I know now that the world is very precious and we need to take better care of it. I also learned that I make an impact on the world by myself, also that if we don't take care we could die. |
| Austin |
Since this project I have been turning off my light and fan when it is in the day. I try to get my brother to but every time I try he gets mad. What I have learned about myself is how much I pollute the world. |
| November 5th Reflections - What are some of the facts on your environmental issue that are surprising you? What can we do to let the world know how to solve this problem? |
| Joshua |
Air pollution is a major problem but if we had energy friendly power plants then we would lower air pollution because they do not produce any smoke which lowers the air pollution then we would not have as much green house gases. |
| Christian |
Air pollution maybe a major problem in todays society, but if we study ways to clean up the air, and use renewable energy sorces we might be able to fix this problem. |
| Jordan |
The facts that are suprising me are that the air pollution can get really get really bad and make you sick and the air can get really dark because you can see all the polltion in the air and it is getting worse. We can try to clean up the air by using less smoke in the fires. |
| Ethan |
One fact that I learned was that wood heaters create a smoke almost like a power plant type. We could let the world know to start to use envirmentally friendlly heaters, and yard tools like mowers, weed eaters and edgers. |
| Austin |
One fact that I learned is that air pollution kills plants that we need to get oxygen. To let them know we should put it on the news and in the news papers |

| Why do you think your research might help your communities? |
Solar Energy is one of the most efficient sources of power. The reason for this is because it is a renewable source of energy from the sun. There is no reason why you can’t have power because the sun will always come up in the morning and the power from solar can be stored in batteries. Any intelligent, smart and hardworking person would agree with this. by Josh
The Arguments for and against Wind Power
FOR
Wind power is becoming one of the most efficient sources of electricity, in today’s society. This is because wind is a renewable source of power. Wind power does not effect our environment in a negative way and is cheap. Australia’s coast line is ideal for wind turbines, because they are very windy. Any smart person would agree with me that wind energy is a great source of power.
AGAINST
Wind power might be one of the most efficient sources of electricity, in today’s society. People, can over look what the bad effects of wind turbines are. Even though it does not effect the environment, the shafts of the turbine can harm or kill birds. Also, most people think they are an eyesore and they can spoil the natural environment. They are also expensive to set up. I would also like to point out that they are extremely noisy. By Christian

Air pollution is bad because if it gets really bad it can be hazardous. It also makes the air all dirty where you can see it. There are some cities that make alot of air pollution that is bad.

Thank you Joshua and Christian for posting your response. We all should consider alternative sources of energy, and solar energy is certainly a source the whole world could use.
Question for you: On a scale of 1-5 (1 being low and 5 being high) how interested would you be in researching air pollution? 2

Hello Jordan Ethan and Austin. As you know my name is Josh I am not from Wedderburn. I am from a close by town but attend Wedderburn College. It is a great achievement to be able to talk to all of you over in America. we have never done anything like this before it is just amazing.
My first surprise was finding out that we will be talking to all of you over in America.
My second is knowing that we will be able to talk and communicate over the internet at different time.

Hi Jordan, Ethan and Austin. As you know my name is Christian. I am from Wedderburn and walk to school every day. It will be great to talk to you over in Andale. Our class hasn’t do anything like this before, and we are all exited.
I was surprised that we will be doing a topic together. If an amazed that we can talk over the internet.
My second surprise was that we will be doing this at different times of the day.

All of the ice melting in 2005 and all the storms have been getting stronger. We should tell everybody to clean up the air more so the CO2 levels does not get worse. |
| Ethan |
That Greenland and Antarctica melt Florida, California, the Netherlands, and Japan can flood. I think we should plant more trees and people can ride bikes if you live in town or ride your bike if you're going somewhere in Andale. |
| Austin |
I was really surpised on the climate change issue and the CO2 levels. I think we should ride more bikes. |
